‘You’ve Never Liked Me Y?’ – Davido Goes Emotional Over Twitter Argument
Talented music artiste and inspirator, Davido has gone emotional on Disc Jockey, DJ Maphorisa following a tweet from the latter aimed at debunking a ‘myth’ concerning Davido.
The said argument sparked on twitter about the now in-thing, Amapiano sound in Nigeria, with a handler, Rozapepper making a case that Davido made Amapiano a succesful genre in Africa.
Rozapepper (@LadyRoza_001) tweeted that Davido had brought Amapiano from South Africa in 2020, and now has Wizkid hopping on the genre after he made it go viral. She further made a case that several African artistes had benefited from Davido’s success this way for years.

In response, DJ Maphorisa came out to debunk the claim, stating that Wizkid and Burna Boy did that on an Amapiano song, Sponono, and it being the historical moment she accredited to Davido for Amapiano.

It sparked several responses, positive and negative from both Wizkid FC and 30BG supporters.
Rozapepper in particular, responded saying it is a fact that Davido is responsible for Amapiano success, and “Let that Sink IN”.

Davido on his part responded to DJ Maphorisa with a tweet speaking about a certain dislike DJ Maphorisa always held for him.
He tweeted:

His tweet has sparked many controversial remarks on twitter. From 30BG supporters, that he is hated, it’s always been him against the world and things of that sort.
From Wizkid FC, that Davido is so obsessed with Wizkid that he interprets love for Wizkid as hatred for Davido.
